Crossing the Border - Argentina to Brazil

We set off this morning to cross over from Argentina to Brazil. Luckily for us the process was relatively simple as no visa is required for European countries. Our driver, Caesar, did all the hard work for us, filling in the forms (although we were pretty uneasy when he went off with our passports and told us to "wait just a moment") getting us across the border, and dropping us to the airport.

2 things I learnt about Brazil just by being at the airport.

1) they are so friendly, this was the first experience we had of the check-in staff having a laugh and joke with us;

2) they are so chilled out. There is literally no rush to be anywhere, even when you haven't checked in your bags an hour before the flight is suppose to take off, Hakuna Matata. Seriously, no worries.

Insert joke here about being over the 23kg allowance...

The rest of our journey to Manaus, including the stop over at São Paulo was pretty uneventful. We arrived at our hostel for the night at 12:30, promptly fell asleep in preparation for our big trip to the Amazon the following day.
